Tim Murtagh

Tim's Jiu Jitsu journey began in early 2018. After training amateur boxing on and off for a few years at Pro-Fit Boxing, he decided learning to grapple would be a good supplement to his striking.

Introduced to Murat Besnek through Tahjn Hammill, Tim quickly became hooked. What was intended to be a twice-a-week hobby while still boxing quickly became his preferred martial art.

Tim has competed at the Pan Pacific championships and the Melbourne Grappling Industries round-robin tournament.

A full-time teacher at Coolaroo South Primary for the better part of a decade, Tim's experience working with kids is put to use supporting Murat with the Kids Jiu Jitsu classes.
